MINNEAPOLIS -- Minnesota employers plan to hire workers at a modest pace in the fourth quarter of this year.

According to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey, 12% of those businesses polled plan to hire in the next three months. However, 11% plan to cut staff. 75% of those surveyed plan to maintain current staffing levels and 2% are unsure of what the fourth quarter will bring.

According to the survey, job prospects appear best in Durable Goods Manufacturing, Information, Education & Health Services, Leisure & Hospitality and Other Services.

Employers in Construction, Non-Durable Goods Manufacturing and Professional & Business Services plan to reduce staffing levels.
