MANKATO (AP) - Mankato police are investigating the death of a man and critical injuries to a woman following a disturbance call to the couple's home.

First responders found a 46-year-old woman with head injuries inside the house Monday. Police say a 51-year-old man was found outside with injuries that appeared to be self-inflicted.

Both were transported to the hospital where the man was pronounced dead. Police have not release the couple's relationship.

Authorities say an adult who called 911 and a juvenile were also in the home at the time, but were not injured. Cmdr. Jeremy Clifton says there is no apparent risk to public safety.
