Man Wanted for Attempted Murder in Wisconsin Arrested in Clearwater

CLEARWATER - A man wanted for attempted murder has been arrested in Clearwater.  The Wright County Sheriff's Office says they used a search warrant just after 4:00 p.m. today (Tuesday) at 751 Isabella Avenue.

The search warrant was conducted as part of an investigation into a shooting that happened in Bloomer, Wisconsin.

Police arrested 31-year-old Stephen Newman of Chetek, Wisconsin.  Newman has been booked into the Wright County Jail to await extradition back to Wisconsin.
