Man Struck, Killed Crossing Street In Roseville

ROSEVILLE (AP) - A 79-year-old man has died after he was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in Roseville.

Police say the man was hit about 5 a.m. Monday. An off-duty officer on the way to work came upon the accident minutes after it happened and, along with other bystanders, provided medical aid.

The man was taken to Regions Hospital where he passed away. The driver of the striking vehicle, a 39-year-old St. Paul man, is cooperating with police. The Minnesota State Patrol is assisting with the investigation.
