BEMIDJI (AP) - Authorities say a driver wanted for a hit-and-run death in Beltrami County has surrendered to police.

Officials say the 58-year-old man admitted he was driving the car that struck and killed 25-year-old Christopher Lee Strong last week. His body was discovered by a newspaper carrier on a road near Bemidji last Wednesday.

Beltrami County emergency management director Bert Wernberg says deputies seized a red Monte Carlo believed to be involved in the death.
