Man Killed by Falling Tree in Lakeville

LAKEVILLE --  Police say a man cutting down a tree in the southern Twin Cities was killed when the tree fell on top of him.

Lakeville police say the man, in his late 20s, was trying to cut down the tree in his front yard when the accident happened Sunday around 10:30 a.m.

First responders tried to revive the man, but he died at the scene.

His name has not been released.
