Man Jailed For Alleged Threats, Assault Against Girlfriend
ST. CLOUD – A man is in jail after allegedly assaulting his girlfriend and threatening her with a knife.
St. Cloud police say they were called to the 400 block of 9th Avenue South on Wednesday night around 11:00 p.m.
The victim, a 35 year -old St. Cloud resident, called the police, saying her boyfriend, 22 year-old Jake Dunham of St. Cloud, had a knife and had assaulted her multiple times in the last few months.
When officers arrived, the victim state the couple had gotten into an argument that evening, at which time Dunham allegedly punched her in the face and threatened to kill her with the knife.
Dunham also reportedly threatened the victim with the knife several times within the previous week.
Dunham ran from the scene before the officers arrived, but was caught on Thursday near Lake George at about 2:30 p.m.
He’s being charged with three counts of domestic assault. He also has an outstanding warrant out of Morrison County.
