ST. CLOUD — A 44-year-old St. Cloud man allegedly threatened to shoot a 39 year-old woman with a crossbow Tuesday.

The St. Cloud Police Department was called to the 400 block of 8th Avenue North around 1:55 p.m.

They say the victim was physically assaulted by Thomas Mitchell. Police arrested him at the scene.

The Criminal Investigation Unit used a search warrant to look for evidence of the assault.

They say they found narcotics, marijuana, and other drug paraphernalia at Mitchell’s home along with evidence linking him to the incident.

He is being held on charges of 2nd Degree Assault, Terroristic Threats, and 2nd and 5th Degree Possession of controlled substance.

The Violent Offender Task Forced helped with the investigation.
