Man Indicted in Granite Falls Double Killing
GRANITE FALLS (AP) - A grand jury has indicted a Minnesota man on first-degree murder charges in the shooting deaths of his ex-girlfriend and her boyfriend.
The Yellow Medicine County grand jury on Tuesday indicted 28-year-old Andrew Dikken of Renville on six counts of first-degree murder.
Court records show Dikken made his first appearance on the new charges Tuesday. He previously was charged with two counts of second-degree murder for the Sept. 2 shootings.
Dikken is accused of shooting 26-year-old Kara Monson and her boyfriend, 28-year-old Chris Panitzke of Redwood Falls, at Monson's Granite Falls home.
Monson died at the scene. Panitzke died of his injuries several days later.
Dikken remains in jail on $3 million bail. He was arrested after a two-week manhunt.
