MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Hennepin County authorities have identified the worker who died after a stack of wood fell from his forklift and crushed him.

The medical examiner's office said Sunday the man was 36-year-old Travis James Carter of Ham Lake.

He was killed Friday afternoon while working a shift at AA Container and Reload in Minneapolis.

Police say he was stacking bundles of a wood product when he apparently got off the forklift. That's when the stack fell and crushed him.

Authorities say he died of multiple blunt-force injuries.

Because the death occurred in a workplace, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, or OSHA, will join the investigation.
