Man Burned in Fire in Paynesville

PAYNESVILLE-- A Paynesville man was burned on Friday shortly after 8:00 p.m.

Stearns County Sheriff John Sanner says the incident happened at the 15800 block of old Lake Road in Paynesville.

The 42-year-old man was attempting to put some brush on an existing fire while driving his bobcat. The  bobcat tipped towards the fire and the man was unable to get it to tip backwards so he ran through the fire to exit.

The man received burns to his feet, legs, arms, hands and face. He was taken to Paynesville Hospital and later transported to the Hennepin County Medical Center burn unit.

His name has not been released.
