Man Arrested on Alleged Drug Charges After Short Chase

ST. CLOUD – A man is behind bars after leading police on a short chase this (Wednesday) afternoon.

The Central Minnesota Violent Offenders Task Force was conducting an undercover buy of narcotics at about 4:30 p.m.  During the operation, uniformed officers attempted to stop a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Daniel Stanger in the 400 block of 33rd Avenue North.

The driver refused to pull over and led police on a chase that lasted two blocks.  The chase ended when Stanger drove his vehicle into a marked squad car near a parking lot of a convenience store at 33rd  Avenue North and 7th Street.

Stanger was arrested without incident.  No one was injured in the incident.  Both vehicles sustained significant damage.
