Man Arrested In Sherburne County Carjacking

Gage Williams, Sherburne County Jail

ELK RIVER – There has been an arrest in the carjacking incident in Sherburne County that we first told you about last week.

The Sheriff’s Office says 26-year-old Gage Williams of Stanchfield, Minnesota was arrested by the Isanti County Sheriff’s Office on Friday.

Deputies responded to a home where they found the stolen 2001 Grand Am, Williams sleeping inside the house, and the keys to the Grand Am in his pocket.

He appeared in court this (Monday) morning and charged with robbery. Bail was set at $25,000 with conditions.

Williams is accused of lying on the shoulder of the road with a bike on top of him in Badlwin Township on Wednesday. When a woman stopped to help him, he got up and stole her car.
