Man Arrested For Alleged Assault On St. Cloud Police Officer

ST. CLOUD -- A 31-year-old man is facing assault charges after allegedly punching a police officer in the head.

The incident happened at about 5:00 p.m. Thursday near the Metro Bus Station on 500 1st Street South in St. Cloud.

Police say Andrue Grabow was causing issues with other passengers at the bus station and was believed to be drunk.

When officers arrived, Grabow refused to follow instructions and a small fight started. Officers used a taser on Grabow, before he was finally taken into custody.

One officer received minor injuries in the fight after being punched in the head by Grabow.

Grabow was taken to the Stearns County Jail and faces charges of 4th degree assault against a police officer and obstructing the legal process.
