Man Arraigned On Illegal Weapons Charges

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A western Minnesota man has pleaded not guilty to illegal weapons charges in a case that the FBI called a foiled terror plot.
 
Buford Rogers made a brief appearance in federal court in St. Paul Friday where he was arraigned on four charges, which do not include terrorism.
 
The 24-year-old Rogers was indicted by a federal grand jury last month on one count of illegally possessing a firearm and three counts of possessing "unregistered destructive devices" including two Molotov cocktails, two "black powder and nail devices" and a pipe bomb. Rogers is not allowed to possess firearms because of a 2011 burglary conviction.
 
He was arrested after FBI agents from the domestic terrorism squad said they found a cache of explosives and weapons in his parents' mobile home in Montevideo.
