WRIGHT COUNTY -- A Howard Lake man was airlifted to a Twin Cities hospital after police say he ran a stop sign and crashed into a dump truck.

The Wright County Sheriff's Office says the crash happened shortly before 12:00 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of County Road 35 and County Road 7.

A pick-up driven by 23-year-old Lucas Klages of Howard Lake was heading north on County Road 7 when he didn't yield at the stop sign and hit a dump truck.

The driver of the dump truck, 39-year-old James Casari of Montrose, was not hurt in the crash.

Klages was hurt in the crash, he was airlifted to North Memorial Hospital.
