LE CENTER (AP) - A man accused of providing whiskey to an underage woman who drowned in the Minnesota River in May is facing charges.

Twenty-six-year-old Joshua Steven Randolph is charged with a gross misdemeanor, procuring alcohol for a minor. Investigators suspected 20-year-old Moriah Zwart, of Le Sueur, had been drinking before she drowned. An autopsy showed intoxication.

A criminal complaint says Randolph admitted buying some Jim Beam for Zwart and her friend before they left for the river.

He's due in court Aug. 18.
