Lyle A. Williams, 80, Waite Park

Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at Life Assembly of God, St. Cloud for Lyle A. Williams, age 80 of Waite Park who died Monday at the St. Cloud Hospital. Pastor Dave Oler will officiate. Friends and family may call from 4-8PM Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud and also one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Lyle was born on April 30, 1936 to Arthur and Lena (Erickson) Williams in Lakota, North Dakota. He served in the National Guard from 1953 – 1962. He married Diane Sieben on August 14, 1976 in Minneapolis. Lyle was a bridge inspector for MnDOT for over 42 years until his retirement in 1997. He was a member of Sons of Norway, Mended Hearts, Alzheimer’s Association. He also was a member of Life Assembly of God Church in St. Cloud where he volunteered for the 2nd Harvest Program and folded the church bulletins. Lyle enjoyed camping at state parks, bird watching especially eagles and feeding squirrels. His hobby was woodworking and made items such as shelves, clocks, shadow boxes, cribbage boards and often made gifts for his family. Lyle was a very loving man with a wonderful sense of humor and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors include his wife, Diane; children, Cheryl (Virgil) Villanueva of Las Vegas, NV, son-in-law, Marc Basilio of San Jose, CA, Renae’ (William) Quon of Morgan Hill, CA, Michele (Donny Schlichting) Schendzielos of Sauk Rapids, Troy (Tammy) Bartlett of St. Cloud, Kurt (Sandra Stevens)Bartlett of San Diego, CA, Corrie (LeAnn)Bartlett of Blaine, MN, Steven (Wanda Fulton)Bartlett of Minneapolis, sister, Marlene Williams of Little Falls; 20 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Dawn Basilio and brother, Willard Williams.
