Lumberjacks Edge Steel To Stay Undefeated
SAUK RAPIDS -- The Granite City Lumberjacks' record remains perfect after a last-minute 4-3 win over the Twin City Steel last night.
The Lumberjacks and Steel were tied at 3-3 when Granite City forward Jared Sprink scored at 19:34 into the final period.
It was an equal-opportunity offense as Granite City's goals came from four different players - Sprink, Tanner Skaja, Mitchell Gwost, and Luke Richardson.
The Lumberjacks vastly outshot the Steel, 41 to 22 - 19 of which were saved by Granite City goalie Jesse Garcia .
With the victory, the Lumberjacks remain undefeated at 7-0 on the young season and have a rematch with Twin City in White Bear Lake on Friday.
