Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at Assumption Catholic Church in Eden Valley for Lucille H. Lahr who passed away Sunday at Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Sauk Rapids. Rev. Aaron Nett will officiate and burial will be 1:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Cemetery in St. Nicholas. Friends and family may gather from 9 a.m.-11 a.m. on Friday at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Eden Valley

Lucille was born August 18, 1927 in Eden Lake Township to Matthew and Mary (Kinzer) Lahr. She grew up on the family farm in Richmond and moved to Eden Valley in 1970. She was a member of St. Peter’s and Assumption Catholic Churches. Lucille was employed with Animal Fair, Eden Valley School District, and a care taker for many years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of the Senior Citizens group, and the American Legion POST #381 Ladies Auxiliary. Lucille was very social and enjoyed playing Bingo at the civic center, dancing, and visiting. She also kept her hands busy doing embroidery projects and baking lemon bars. Most of all, Lucille enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her brother, Art (Carol) Lahr from Eden Valley; sister-in-law, Joyce Lahr of Cold Spring; 39 nieces and nephews and their families. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Luella Lahr, Irene (Chris) Arnold, Marie (Joe) Daher; brothers, John (Alvina) Lahr, Marcellus (Christina) Lahr, Roman (Marie) Lahr, Math (Carol) Lahr, Albert (LaRoma) Lahr, Clarence Lahr, Tony (Luverne) Lahr, Eugene Lahr, and infant brother.

A special thanks to the staff at St. Croix Hospice and Good Shepherd Nursing Home for all of their years of compassionate care and their friendship with Lucille.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
