Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 20, 2017 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for Lucille E. Evans, age 94, of St. Cloud who passed away on Tuesday at Good Shepherd Community, Sauk Rapids. Rev. Gerald Dalseth will officiate and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in St. Cloud. Family and friends may call one hour prior to services Monday at the funeral home.

Lucille was born on October 2, 1923 to Louis and Mary (Schriver) Dimler in St. Cloud. She married Raymond J. Evans on May 5, 1954 in Webster, South Dakota. After graduating from Tech High School, Lucille attended training in Glenwood where she learned welding and riveting. During WWII, she was employed at the Char-Gale Plant in St. Cloud riveting wings for military planes. Lucille was an original Rosie the riveter. Lucille learned bookkeeping and shorthand and held office positions at Montgomery Ward in St. Paul and Landwehr Trucking in St. Cloud and Duluth. Lucille also held retail positions at the Pet Center and the Children’s Shop at Crossroads mall before retiring. Lucille was a member of the Sauk Rapids VFW Auxiliary. She liked to knit and crochet, work crossword puzzles, play bingo, cards and Dominoes. She also enjoyed photography, reading mysteries, cooking and collecting recipes. Lucille had a love for animals, raised poodles and especially loved her cat, Zoey.

She is survived by her daughter, Connie (Mark) Duea of Sauk Rapids and many nieces and nephews.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Raymond; brother, Edward; sister, Marjorie Johnson and step-daughter, Audrey Jackson.
