A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Lucille Ann Schulte, age 94, of St. Cloud will be on Saturday, January 31st at 11:00 AM at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Lucille died peacefully on Tuesday at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Reverend Greg Lieser will officiate. Burial will be at Assumption Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday between 4:00-8:00 PM at the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud and on Saturday after 9:30 AM at the Church. Parish Prayers will be at 6:30 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Lucille entered into eternal life on Tuesday, January 27th, 2015. She will be greatly missed by her family. Her life was one of deep devotion to her Catholic faith and an encompassing love for her family. She was a beautiful woman who was a constant reflection of God’s presence.

Lucille was born on October 18, 1920 in Spring Hill, Minnesota to Henry and Mary (Schoenberg) Braun. On November 26, 1942, she married Wilfred M. Schulte at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Spring Hill, the beginning of their incredible 52 years of life together. They resided in Regal, Minnesota for 14 years before moving to St. Cloud in December of 1955. Lucille was an advocate of both education and music. She loved learning and instilled in her children the value of higher education. She was an inspiration to all her children and to all who knew her. After raising 12 children, she became a licensed daycare provider. Lucille loved children.

Lucille was a member of St. Peter’s Parish since 1956 and was also a member of St. Peter’s Christian Women, St. Barbara’s Mission, Legion of Mary, Catholic Women’s Sodality, Daughters of Isabella, Crosier Apostolates, Legionnaires of Christ, and Maryknoll Brothers/Sisters. She was a Faith Formation instructor and a member of the choir. Daily Mass and the rosary were a priority for her.

She is survived by her 12 children: Bill (Donna), Roseville, CA, Jackie (Gerry) Klaphake, St. Joseph, Marlyce (Bob) Bursch, Grand Ledge, MI, David (Terri), St. Cloud, Laurel (Tom) Knettel, St. Cloud, Kathy (Chuck) Fish, St. Cloud, Randy, Brainerd, Dale (Glenda),St. Cloud, Mary (Michael) Hoffman, Eagan, John (Judy),Eden Prairie, Jonelle Marty, Lakeville, Julie (Matt) Kenny, Rio Nido, CA, 29 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, sisters Mary Ann Imdieke, Sauk Centre, Martha Bray, Bloomington, brother John (Marie) Braun, Minneapolis and sister-in-law Valeria Braun, Sauk Centre.

Lucille was preceded in death by her husband on April 25, 1995, parents, infant son James Anthony, grandson Christopher Bursch, brothers, Alfred and Ralph Braun, and sister Katherine (Braun) Schulte.

A special thank you to all the wonderful doctors, nurses, staff and caregivers at St. Benedict’s Senior Community Center and CentraCare Hospice who compassionately cared for our mother and extended to our family gracious understanding and support during our mother’s journey.
