Lorraine Korte, 94, St. Martin

February 2, 1922 – October 26, 2016

Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at St. Martin Catholic Church in St. Martin, MN for Lorraine Korte, age 94, who died peacefully Wednesday at the St. Cloud Hospital surrounded by her family. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016 at the St. Martin Parish Hall. Arrangements are with Wenner Funeral Home, Richmond.

Lorraine was born in St. Martin, MN to Peter and Kathryn (Schmitz) Terres. She married Lawrence Korte in St. Martin on June 12, 1944. Lorraine was a homemaker and she greatly enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and quilting. She was a member of St. Ann’s Society, Catholic United Financial and numerous card groups.

Survivors include her children Gladys Bottema (Ron Nienaber), Joan (Roger) Rothstein, Ruth Laine, Dennis (Irma), Ken (Pat), Mary (Conrad) Lauer, Donna (Paul) Wellenstein; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Marie Brinkman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Lawrence; sons-in-law, Jerry Bottema, Lawrence Laine, Vernon Mueller; siblings, Art Terres and Alice Heinen.
