The Mass of Christian Burial, celebrating the life of Lorraine Jarnot, age 91 of Holdingford will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, July 22 at the Church of All Saints, St. Hedwigs in Holdingford. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. There will be a visitation from 4-8:00 PM Friday and again after 10:00 AM, Saturday at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home in Holdingford.

Lorraine Jarnot was born on November 9th, 1925 to Stanley and Cecelia (Kedrowski) Bartkowicz (called Lora by the Bartkowicz family.) in Swan River Township. She grew up with 7 siblings and attended the local country school until the 8th grade. On September 25, 1945, Lorraine married John S. (Jolly John) Jarnot at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Sobieski. Lorraine was a hard working, independent woman from milking cows to doing field work for the neighbors. She worked at several sewing manufacturers; Fingerhut, St. Cloud Canvas Co., Munsingwear, and Little Falls Cap Co. She stayed in her home until November 2014 when Alzheimer's/Dementia took over. She moved to the Hyatt House but still wanted to go back home. Before Dementia took over, she enjoyed cutting lawn and planting a garden. She also enjoyed watching soap operas and reading. She was a member of All Saints St. Hedwigs Catholic Church, the Rosary Sodality/Christian Women and the funeral group.

Lorraine is survived by her children, Donna (Robert) Pueringer, Holdingford and Dennis (Mary Lou) Jarnot, Shoreview. Her brothers, Richard Bartkowicz, Swanville, Donald (Bernadine) Bartkowicz, Bowlus, Ernie (Jeanette) Barkowitz, Little Falls, Seven Grandchildren; Lisa Knettel, Lynn (Art) Williams, Lori (Brent) Bukowski, LeAnn Pueringer, Rob Pueringer Jr., Andy (Jessica) Jarnot and Doug Jarnot, Seven Great-Grandchildren; Nick and Jake Knettel, Carter and Jack Bukowski, Izabella, Ayla & Emery Pueringer and baby girl Jarnot, due in October.

She is preceded by her parents, her husband, John on March 11, 1978, sisters, Esther Lashinski, Gertrude Milbert, Elsie Maciej, Rita Stewart and Grandaughter, Erica Lynn Jarnot.
