Loren J. Borgert, Sauk Rapids, Minnesota

November 24, 1935 - August 19, 2016

Loren was born on November 24, 1935 in St. Cloud to Lawrence and Louise (Battis) Borgert. He married Margaret Gottwalt, they later divorced. Loren worked as a Machinist at DeZURIK in Sartell for 35 years before retiring. He was a member of Tri County Alliance Church in Clear Water, MN. Loren enjoyed photography, roller skating and being active with his family. He had quite the sweet tooth and walked strongly in his faith. Loren is described as being a simple person and very humorous.

Loren is survived by his children, Christopher (Shawn) of Maple Lake, Anthony (Terri) of South St. Paul, Laura (Michael) Ludwig of St. Cloud, Louise (John) Melcher of San Diego, CA; sister, Renee Stang of Sartell; brother, Gene Borgert of Sartell; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Donna Raab, Kathy Thometz, Mary Salandi; and brothers, Ken and Dick.
