TODD COUNTY - A Long Prairie Man is facing charges for allegedly stealing pumpkins from a nearby farm.

The Todd County Sheriff's Office says they received a call at about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday from 56-year-old John Petron of rural Long Prairie.

He reported that 73-year-old Harlan Berndt from rural Long Prairie, stole some pumpkins from JPC Farms on County Road 5.

Harlan was later found with several stolen pumpkins. Charges are pending against him for theft and the reports have been forwarded to the Todd County Attorney's Office for further review.
