MANKATO, Minn. (AP) – Minnesota State, Mankato has lifted a lockdown after a stabbing in a dormitory.

The school says someone who was not a student was cut on his hand Friday. The injury was not life-threatening.

Several students who came out of McElroy G dorm hall says blood was spattered down the hallway on the second floor.

After the incident, campus security issued an alert advising all students, faculty and staff to stay put.

Vice President David Jones says the victim is not an MSU student, and he was not taken by ambulance.  Mankato police are continuing the investigation.
