UNDATED - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud Metro Area jumped last month.  The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says it's now at 5.7%, that's up from the 5.1% we had in both April and May.

Our local unemployment rate compares to the state's rate of 5.6%, and it's still much better than the national rate of 8.2%.

As for other metropolitan regions around the state: Rochester is at 5%, Mankato 5.1%, the Twin Cities is 5.8%, and Duluth has the highest unemployment rate at 7%.
