Local Unemployment Rate Dips in March

ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud Metro Area dropped in March.

The Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development says we are now at 6.1 percent, down from 6.6 percent in February.

It's our lowest unemployment rate for March since 2008.

However, our unemployment rate is still higher than the statewide average, which is 5.4 percent.  But, we are doing better than the national unemployment rate, which is at 7.6 percent.
