Local Unemployment Jumps in January

ST. CLOUD - The unemployment rate for the St. Cloud metro area took a jump in January.  We're now at 6.7%, up from 5.9% in December.  It's also the second straight month that our unemployment rate has increased.

Our unemployment rate is now a full point higher than the state's 5.7%.  But, we are still doing much better than the nation as a whole, which is at 8.3%.
