Local Man Nabbed On Child Pornography Charges

A Zimmerman man's jailed on child pornography charges.

Investigators from the Sherburne County Sheriff's Office have arrested 48-year-old Scott Whitcomb after getting word from the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force that someone had been sending out child pornography from a computer in Sherburne County.

Police tracked the activity back to Whitcomb's computer.

Investigators also determined the identities of the children in the photos, and after conducting interviews with two of them, determined that Whitcomb assaulted and took photos of them in his home.

Whitcomb is being held on $200,000 bail in the Sherburne County Jail on multiple charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
