The Central Minnesota Community Foundation wants to fund programs that empower women with grants, and they're looking for applicants.

The grants will be given to agencies that show a commitment to building programs supporting women of all ages. There are two funding sources; the Women's Fund will support programs targeting three priority groups: girls ages 10-18, women in transition and elderly women. The grants will be awarded to programs or individuals within a 30-mile radius of St. Cloud, and will range from 3,000 to 8,000 dollars each.

The Julianne Williams fund grants will go to promoting programs that empower girls and young women though sports and outdoor activities.

Nonprofit agencies can apply for both categories of grants through March 21st.
