ST. CLOUD -- Seven St. Cloud first responders can add baby delivery to their resume.

At about 6:30 a.m. September 14th, the group responded to a call of a woman going into labor. However, before they could get her to the hospital they all helped deliver the baby inside her St. Cloud apartment.

Firefighter's Captain Glen Koshiol, True Vang, Benjamin Rakotz, and Kyle Gammel, Police officer Brian Heim, and paramedics Alisa Moore and Jeffery Frank were on the scene that morning.

Vang says this was his first delivery on the job and calls it an unbelievable experience.

"It was pretty amazing actually. I haven't seen a baby being born since my kids and they are teenagers now."

Paramedics say it's not too often they are the ones to deliver the baby. Heim says situations like this take a total team effort.

"Alisa was taking the lead and Captain Koshiol was helping and everyone seemed to have their role too."

All seven first responders were honored with a certificate and stork pin at a special ceremony held Monday at the St. Cloud Fire Department.
