Lloyd Dresow, 78, St. Cloud

Services, celebrating the life of Lloyd Dresow, age 78 of St. Cloud, will be 11:30 AM, Friday, April 21 at the Miller-Carlin Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls. Lloyd died Sunday at Centennial House in Apple Valley. There will be a visitation after 10:30 AM, Friday at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Lloyd was born May 27, 1938 in Sandborn, MN to George and Dorothy (Johnson) Dresow. He moved to St. Cloud when he was in the third grade. Lloyd served in the U.S. Navy from 1955 – 1958 and married Colleen Braiedy on October 10, 1959 in St. John Cantius Catholic Church in St. Cloud. Lloyd worked as a nursing technician at the St. Cloud Veterans Hospital for over 35 years, retiring in 1994. After he retired, he worked as a house painter with Graham Painting for over 10 years. He was a former member of the American Federation of Government Employees.

Lloyd is survived by his children, Neil Dresow, Steven Dresow, Craig (Laurie) Dresow, and Karen Emerson. He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Shaw, brother, Larry Dresow and grandchildren, Nicholas Emerson and Paige Dresow.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Colleen on February 22, 2013 and his brother, George “Pudge” Dresow.
