RICE -- The Minnesota DNR is inviting you to an information meeting and discussion about sustainable groundwater use in the Little Rock Creek area of Benton and Morrison counties.

The DNR says groundwater use in the area is increasing at a faster rate than the statewide average and the risk of overuse also increases the risk of contamination.

The area up for discussion extends from the north end of Little Rock Lake in Benton County to the Skunk River in Morrison County.

DNR staff will answer questions and describe the development plan for the Little Rock Creek watershed.

The meeting will be held tomorrow (Tuesday) starting at 6:30 p.m. in the community room at the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Rice.
