ST. CLOUD -- Twenty Future Farmers of America (FFA) members throughout the country have been selected to serve on the 2013-14 National Collegiate Agriculture Ambassador team.

Sara Colombe, of Little Falls, was one of the twenty members selected by the National FFA Organization. She says it was a long process to make the final cut.

As part of the program Colombe and the other Ambassadors underwent specialized training in Greensboro, North Carolina, to learn how to best advocate the agricultural industry.

Each Ambassador must complete a minimum of 30 hours of presentations to businesses, schools and community groups.

Colombe, who is a student at South Dakota State University, says agriculture played a major roll in her life.

From working on the family farm and participating in FFA, Colombe feels she can guide her passion for agriculture to a younger generation.

Colombe would be happy to come speak too any organization in Minnesota that wanted help promoting the agricultural industry.
