Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday May 11, 2017 at St. Mary’s Cathedral (Lower Church) in St. Cloud for Lillian C. Tuchek, age 93, of St. Cloud who passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud. Reverend Scott Pogatchnik will officiate. Burial will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Family and friends may call one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church. Arrangements are with the Daniel Funeral Home in St. Cloud.

Lillian was born on February 5, 1924 in St. Cloud to Mathias and Frances (Heinz) Danzl. She married William O. Tuchek on August 8, 1951 in Rapid City, South Dakota. Lillian worked for Three Sisters Department Store and later Fingerhut Corporation, retiring in 1989. She was a member of St. Mary’s Cathedral, Eagles Aerie #622 Auxiliary, V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #428, the National Catholic Society of Foresters, the Daughters of Isabella, St. Anne’s Christian Women, and the St. Cloud Hospital Auxiliary.

Lillian enjoyed traveling and spending time with her family.

Lillian is survived by her son, Dan (Joy) Tuchek of Littlefork; grandchildren, Bob of Nisswa, Stacy (Jeff) Marxer of Browerville; six great-grandchildren, Kaylee, Colton, Abby, Natalie, Gavin, and Noah; many nieces and nephews; and very dear friend, Joyce Woitalla.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William in 1976; brothers and sisters, Harold, Donald, Richard, Gerald, Mildred Gainor and Ethel.
