UNDATED - An upper level low pressure will slowly move east across Nebraska today and tonight reaching northern Iowa around midday Friday. This will bring a lengthy period of snow across much of our region.

Snowfall is not expected to be particularly intense...but its long duration could bring accumulations by midday Friday to around 4 inches across much of southwest and south central Minnesota.

Amounts will taper off to around an inch across central Minnesota into much of west central Wisconsin. Snow will be ending from west to east across the area Friday afternoon and evening.

Temperatures will moderate today and Friday with teens to lower 20s common.
