LeRoy C. Morgan, 95, Sauk Rapids

January 27, 1919 - November 12, 2014

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00AM Saturday, November 15, 2014 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud for LeRoy C. Morgan, 95 who passed away surrounded by his family Wednesday at the Good Shepherd Home in Sauk Rapids. The Rev. Jerry Dalseth will officiate and burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Sauk Rapids. Friends and relatives may call from 4-8PM Friday at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and 1 hour prior to services Saturday at the church in St. Cloud. St. Peter’s parish prayers will be at 5:30PM followed by St. Cloud VFW Post 428 praying at 6:00PM Friday at the funeral home in Sauk Rapids.

LeRoy was born in Sauk Rapids to Charles F. & Gertrude (Hohn) Morgan. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII. He married Shirley Janecke on November 30, 1939 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. She died in 1975. He married Rosalyn M. Barthelemy on May 4, 1979 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Sauk Rapids. LeRoy worked for Rubald Beverage from 1940-1941 and for Purity Dairy from 1941-1960. He was a union representative for the Teamsters Local 329 until his retirement. He is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church in St. Cloud and the VFW Post # 428 and American Legion Post # 76. LeRoy was a devoted husband to both of his wives, he also enjoyed fishing, hunting, woodworking, working on crossword puzzles and word finds and especially chocolate.

Survivors include his children, Judith L. (Ken) Majerus of Sauk Rapids, Charles (Jean) Morgan of Mount Airy, NC, Joy “Jeraldine” Morgan of Austin, TX; step daughter in law, Angie Barthelemy of Foley; step children, Janet (Lewis) Stark of St. Cloud, Carol (David) Neeser of St. Cloud, Pat (Sharon) Barthelemy of Clear Lake, John (Jan) Barthelemy of Sauk Rapids, Leon (Mary Jo) Barthelemy of Foley, Mary Ann (Roger) Stauffenecker of Sauk Rapids, Joelle (Joel) Lundin of Monticello; 5 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 20 step grandchildren, 40 step great grandchildren and 2 step great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Shirley in 1975; second wife, Rosalyn in 2006; sister, Isabelle Hollenhorst; infant son, James; infant daughters, Brenda & Barbara; stepson, Dennis Barthelemy; 2 step grandchildren, Bethany (Neeser) Loesch and Laura Jean Barthelemy; step grandson in law, Brian Henrich; and an infant brother.
