She was also a member of the Clearwater American Legion Auxiliary. Leona was best known for her cooking and baking, always having a cake or cookies ready to share; she was a gracious hostess who doted over family and friends. She was a gentle and kind woman, whose smile touched all who knew her. She loved to play cards and was always ready for a game. Above all, Leona was a woman of deep faith, offering prayers, especially the rosary, for anyone in need.

Survivors include her son and daughters, Gene (Beverly) Storms of Eden Prairie, Elaine Kiffmeyer of Clearwater and Joann (Daniel) McMullen of Annandale; 8 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren, with another on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Vernon; son-in-law, Wendelin Kiffmeyer; grandson, Ryan; brothers, Norbert, Ernest and twin brother Leonard Gohman and sister, Dolores Eveslage.

Memorials are preferred to St. Mary Help of Christians Church or Quiet Oaks Hospice House.

The family would like to thank Dr.’s Lalley and Pladson and all of the wonderful staff and volunteers at Centra Care Hospice and Quiet Oaks Hospice House.
