Leona C. Botz, age 93, St. Cloud, MN, died Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at St. Benedict’s Senior Community, St. Cloud, MN.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, St. Cloud, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Sauk Centre, MN. Funeral arrangements were made by Benson Funeral Home, St. Cloud, MN.

Leona was born March 31, 1921 in Roseau, MN to Paul and Mary (Jaeger) Perlinger. She moved with her family to Lake Henry in 1923 and Little Sauk in 1925. On July 1, 1944 Leona was united in marriage to Julian Botz in Sauk Centre, MN. They lived in Sauk Centre until the late 1960’s and then lived in Cambridge and New Ulm prior to moving to St. Cloud in 1986. Leona was employed as an accountant during the tax season. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Christian Mothers in Sauk Centre and Cambridge. Leona enjoyed baking, crafts, sewing, decorating, refinishing furniture and traveling with her husband, Julian.

Survivors include daughter, Roxanne (Gerald) Hovet of Isanti MN; and brother, Robert Perlinger of Brooklyn Park, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Julian on October 24, 1998, brothers, John, Leander, Leo, Joseph and Albin Perlinger, and sister, Martha Kuefler.
