Leo Jacob Oehmen, age 92 of Princeton, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at his home.

Leo was born on May 24, 1923 at home near Anoka, MN, the son of Peter and Mamie (Stich) Oehmen. He graduated from Elk River High School. He was married to the love of his life, LaVonne Morton on March 4, 1946 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Elk River, MN. Leo was a farmer and also worked for Federal Cartridge from 1953-1982. His faith was very important to him along with his 67 year marriage to LaVonne and commitment to their family. Leo was a quiet man with a great sense of humor. He loved to fish and spend time outdoors. He will be dearly missed.

Leo is survived by his children, Pete (Jean) Oehmen, Marie (Mark) Bleskachek, Cathy (Dave) Peetz, Paul Oehmen and Jim Oehmen; 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; along with many other loving relatives and in-laws.

Leo was preceded in death by his wife LaVonne, his parents Peter and Mamie, and sister Lucille (Earl) Swanson.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, July 13, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, North Campus, in Princeton. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 7:00 PM on Sunday, July 12, 2015 at Christ Our Light Catholic Parish, Princeton with parish prayers at 5:00 PM and visitation one hour prior to the service on Monday. Interment will be in St. Edward’s Catholic Cemetery, Princeton, MN.
