ST. CLOUD - The Local Education and Activities Foundation has announced its latest round of grants for programs in District 742.

Executive Director Bruce Hentges says the fall grants are just over $20,000.

Some of the biggest grants include: $2,500 for new uniforms for the Apollo girls basketball team, over $2,300 for supplies and equipment for the Tech/Apollo/Cathedral Robotics Club, and nearly $1,900 for district-wide disadvantaged youth activities participation expenses.

In addition, a grant of almost $13,000 will be given to North and South Junior High to buy mobile hot spots to provide internet access at home for needy students.

Since 1996, LEAF has awarded nearly $1.4 million to projects in District 742.
