LaVerne C. Botz, 90, Park Rapids

December 2, 1924 - July 14, 2015

Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Monday, July 20, 2015 at the Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home, St. Cloud for LaVerne C. Botz, 90, who passed away on Tuesday. Rev. Al Stangl will officiate and burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery, Little Falls. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to services at the funeral home.

LaVerne was born December 2, 1924 in St. Cloud to Raymond and Marie (Winkel) Kleinschmidt. She married John Botz on November 1, 1950 in Austin, MN. After John retired the couple moved to Park Rapids and lived there from 1986 – 2002. They moved back to St. Cloud, and for the past year LaVerne lived in Park Rapids. LaVerne enjoyed spending time at their home on Little Man Trap Lake in Park Rapids. She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Survivors include sons and daughters, Barbara (John) Hogg of Minneapolis, George (Nancy) Botz of Sartell, Susan (Thomas) Kruchten of Park Rapids, Mary Schmitt of St. Cloud and Daniel (Gina) Botz of East Bethel; brothers, Donald (Delores) Kleinschmidt of Sauk Rapids, Robert (Mona) Kleinschmidt of Andover; sisters, Darlene Randall of Sartell and Shirley Euteneur of St. Cloud; 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

LaVerne was preceded in death by her parents, husband (May 1, 2003); an infant son, Thomas Otto; grandson, Jacob Matthew Botz; and 3 brothers.
