Large Mural Project Installed in Downtown St. Cloud

ST. CLOUD - Some big wall art is being installed this week in downtown St. Cloud.  The murals are going up along the brick wall of the building that faces the Metro Transit Center Station at 510 1st Street South.

The artwork is meant to serve as a focal point of 5th Avenue and the MTC station.

Minneapolis artist Lili Payne designed the mural, which feature the various parks in St. Cloud in the style of the 1930's WPA posters.

The cost of the project is about $45,000 and is being paid for by the city and Metro Transit.
