ST. PAUL (AP) - The state of Minnesota and Land O'Lakes say they'll work together to improve water quality.

Gov. Mark Dayton and Land O'Lakes officials will announce details Wednesday, but the basic outlines call for Land O'Lakes' more than 4,000 member farms to implement better practices on water quality.

Agriculture Commissioner Dave Frederickson will also be at the event.

Dayton has made water issues a major priority in his second term. He has pushed for more money to upgrade aging sewer networks, wastewater plants and drinking water treatment facilities statewide, and also pushed for larger buffer strips between cropland and public waterways.
