Kuck Leads SJU To Win Over Oles Saturday

Freshman Mitchell Kuck hit six three-pointers and scored 24 points to lead the Johnnies to victory over the St. Olaf Oles in Northfield Saturday night.

The Johnnies (12-13, 11-19) topped the Oles (9-16, 8-12) 79-76 in a comeback victory in Northfield on Saturday night. The win gives SJU the #6 seed in the NSIC tournament, which means they will play at #3 Augsburg on Wednesday night.

St. John's shot a robust 52% in the first half but found themselves trailing St. Olaf 39-33 in the locker room at halftime.

The hot shooting continued in the second half as the Johnnies connected on a remarkable 63% from the floor to seal the win.

Mitchell Kuck's older brother, Oles guard Nathan Kuck, scored 23 points off the bench for St. Olaf.
