MOORHEAD  (AP) — Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar is making her way through northwestern Minnesota, dishing out advice to graduates and getting input from area residents who have battled annual floods.

Klobuchar was lined up to give the Concordia College commencement address on Sunday. Her office says she planned to structure her remarks around a theme of shared purpose, something on display during repeated natural disasters in the region.

Her Monday plan is to meet with local officials and residents in Oslo and East Grand Forks about flooding issues.

Klobuchar is building toward a 2012 re-election campaign.
