Kleis to Fly to Washington D.C.

ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud Mayor Dave Kleis is heading to Washington D.C. next week to lobby our federal lawmakers.

Kleis says transportation issues will be at the forefront, including a pitch to expand I-94 between St. Cloud and the Twin Cities to three lanes. Kleis says it's a top priority for the St. Cloud Area Planning Organization and federal pressure is needed to push it along at the state level.

Kleis says he'll also lobby for extending the Northstar Commuter Rail Line to St. Cloud and also some public safety initiatives related to infrastructure and technical upgrades.
