Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in St. Cloud for Kimberly “Kym” S. Durant, 44 of St. Cloud who passed away on Friday evening, surrounded by her loving family, at St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Rev. Thomas Knoblach will officiate and burial will be at Assumption Cemetery in St. Cloud. Friends and relatives may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday evening and also one hour prior to services Tuesday morning at the funeral home in St. Cloud.

Kimberly Sue Durant was born on April 9, 1970 in St. Cloud to Roger and Terrel “Terri” (Johnson) Durant. She has lived in the St. Cloud area for all of her life. Most recently, Kym worked as the mail room coordinator at Aria in Waite Park. She was a proud supporter of the American Cancer Society and participated in the Making Strides Breast Cancer Walk. Kym was a kind, quiet and fun loving person. She loved her dogs, to go walking, shopping and she loved a great bargain. Kym’s family was very important to her, especially time spent with her nephews.

Survivors include her parents, Roger and Terri Durant of St. Cloud; siblings, Dan (Sandy) Durant of Rice, Amy Durant of Sauk Rapids, Aaron Durant of Sauk Rapids and Amanda (Ray) Ramsey of St. Joseph; aunts and uncles, Jim and Ann Durant of Nebraska, Janice Winter of St. Cloud, Arlene Durant or Sauk Rapids and Mark and Susan Durant of St. Cloud; nephews, Jared and Derek Durant and Carter and Aiden Ramsey; lifelong friend, Melissa Neumann of St. Francis and furry companion, Tinkerbell. She was preceded in death by her grandparents and uncles, David Durant and John Winter.

The family would like to extend a special and heart felt thank you to the Coborn Cancer Center, the 5th floor physicians and staff at the St. Cloud Hospital, St. Croix Hospice and St. Benedict’s Senior Community in St. Cloud for all of the excellent care and compassion that was shown to Kym.
